Discover Norwegian spirit with this tour of Bergen!
This tour will show you the city through the eyes of the famous composer Edvard Grieg, whose music has always been described as a national tribute to Norway, its people, and its nature. On the walk around this beautiful little city, you will go back over 150 years to find the places that inspired the Norwegian genius.
The tour starts with a visit to Grieg’s childhood home, where the future composer started playing piano at the age of 5. Then you will see Nykirken, a marvelous 17th-century white-stone church standing on the shore – Edvard was baptized there.
You will discover the surroundings at Bryggen, a World Heritage City, and learn how they influenced the life of the future composer, whose music was greatly inspired by this place. After wandering around 60 colorful wooden buildings and enjoying breathtaking scenery, you will stop at Bergen railway station, one of the most spectacular stations in Norway, which is more than a hundred years old.
This tour will allow you not only to dive into the world of the genius but also discover the same Norway he so passionately loved – the Norway of beautiful people, incredible landscapes, and mysterious legends.
